Nursery Design Trends
Posted by Kerri on 9/15/2010
We are expecting a son in November, so I have been thinking a lot about nursery design lately. Yes, I know, we really should have our nursery completed by now but.... we don't. The trend seems to be moving toward decorating your nursery in a way that flows with the rest of your home. We are converting a guest room that is a pale, calming, neutral blue. It flows with the rest of the colors in our home and doesn't stick out so we are leaving the color as is. Also, a really great, economical idea is to accessorize with items that your baby will not outgrow within the first year. So, I'm going to stay away from character themes, such as Elmo or Barney (yikes), both of which my three year old has already outgrown, and choose art work that is not just for babies but something a baby will enjoy as he grows into his toddler years.
